If you are not a medical card holder, the Drugs Payment Scheme (DPS) may be able to save you money on your medicines each month.
Any Irish resident who does not hold a medical card is entitled to apply for a DPS card. Once registered, each individual or family will only pay a maximum of €132 for prescription medicines in any one calendar month. You will receive a DPS card and number which we will add to your record.
We will keep a running total of how much you spend during the month, and will stop charging once you reach the €132 mark.
For more details on how to apply for the DPS, or to get the forms, please ask in store.
